The 1990s, following the change of political system, brought significant changes to our society. Alongside the privatization of state assets, enterprising individuals began founding private companies. We were among them: in 1994, we founded Stulwerk Kft. Our goal was to offer a fast and flexible solution to meet the office seating needs of the rapidly multiplying number of businesses at the time. Having quickly recognized the limits of our initial trading activity, we decided to build our own manufacturing capacity.
We began production in a rented facility in 1994. Thanks to our continuous development, we have since built several facilities of our own. The simple assembly of office chairs was gradually replaced by the manufacturing of our own in-house designed products, and a large share of our foreign suppliers was replaced by Hungarian manufacturers. In the mid-2000s, we entered the export markets, where we remain actively present today. Today, modern enterprise resource planning systems, CNC cutting and sewing technology, and various CAD-CAM software help us serve our domestic and international partners at an ever-higher standard.
